Dr Gregor Donaldson

MBChB (1996) PG Dip ENT University of Dundee

GP Partner Dr Donaldson joined the practice as a partner in 2004 and is a GPSI in ENT and Minor Surgery. He is the GP lead for prescribing and the Clinical Pharmacist Programme at the practice. Dr Donaldson leads on Strategy, Practice Development and Finance. He also has two external lead posts as a Director for South East Leeds GP Federation and the Medical Lead for Medicines Optimisation for Leeds GP Confederation.

Dr Thomas Fox

MBChB (1982) MRCGP DCH University of Leeds

Senior GP Partner Dr Fox joined the practice in 1987 and is a GP with Specialist Interest in Minor Surgery and Contraception. He became a GP Trainer in 1991 and supervised his final GP Trainee in July 2021 after supporting over 60 trainees on placement

GP Partner Dr Backhouse joined the practice in 2014 and became a Partner in 2016 He became a GP Trainer in 2019

Dr Angela Sandhu

MRCGP MBBS 2010 University of East Anglia. GP Trainer

GP Partner Dr Sandhu joined the practice in 2015 as a Salaried GP before becoming a GP Partner in 2019. In 2020, she became a GP trainer. Dr Sandhu is a GP lead for Staff HR

Andrea Mann

Managing Partner

BSc (Hons) RGN (2000), Dip HE (Adult), Dip Practice Nursing, Dip Diabetes, Dip Asthma, Dip COPD, Non-Medical Prescriber V300, Mentor. Andrea joined the Practice in 2002 and trained at Leeds University School or Healthcare. Andrea also works as the Clinical Director of Crossgates Primary Care Network and became a partner in practice in 2015.

Dr Catherine Riley

Salaried GP Dr Riley joined the practice in August 2020, she was previously a GP Registrar at the practice.

Dr Ellen Oakhill

BSc MBChB(hons) MRCGP

Dr Oakhill joined the practice in 2018 on the GP retainer scheme as a salaried GP when she moved from Birmingham and has over 10 years experience as a GP. She is a practice lead for quality improvement and has recently been involved in an Integrated Quality Improvement Programme with Leeds Community Healthcare and Cross Gates Primary Care Network looking at falls prevention pathways.

Dr Eleanor Coates

BMB CH (2007) MA Hons, MRCGP (2014) University of Oxford. Certificate in Coil and Implant fitting.

Dr Barrett joined the practice in 2014 as a salaried GP and later specialised in children's palliative care whilst working at Martin House. She later became a Senior Associate GP and specialised in Family Planning and Contraception. She is now the Lead GP for our contraceptive clinics. Dr Barrett will be joining the partnership in 2021 Dr Barrett joined the practice in 2014 and is a GPSI in contraception and is the GP lead for our Coil and Implant clinics. She has experience working in palliative care working in St Martins House Hospice. .

Dr Sarah Younge

Senior Associate GP Dr Younge joined the practice as a Salaried GP in 2017 and is now a Senior Associate GP. In 2021, she is starting her training to become a GP Trainer.

Dr Ben Hammersley

Senior Associate GP Dr Hammersley joined the practice in 2019 as an Associate GP and became a Senior Associate GP and GP Trainer in 2020 He is the practice End of Life Lead GP and has been involved in the Wave 3 roll out in Leeds for Population Health Management Dr Hamersley joined the practice in 2019 and leads on end of life care. He is supports our GP Registrars and Foundation Trainees and is a GP Trainer.

Kate Moore

Senior Practice Nurse. RGN (1993) Dip in (Nursing) Healthcare (2012), Dip in General Practice, Dip Asthma, Dip COPD, Dip Diabetes mentor. Kate is also a non-medical prescriber.

Kate joined the practice in 2014 and is our Senior Practice Nurse. She is responsible for the Health Care Assistants within the team and is also a nurse mentor. Kate is the Nurse Lead for End of Life Care and Coordinates monthly MDT meetings between the practice, Leeds Community Healthcare and St Gemmas Hospice for our patients. Kate is also a Nurse Mentor for Student Nurses on placement.

Sarah Alexander

BSC (Hons) Adult Nursing, Dip Asthma & COPD. Sarah Joined the Practice in February 2018 and trained at Leeds University. Sarah previously has worked at St James Hospital and as a District Nurse, specialising in wound care.

Student Nurses

Colton Mill MC is an Advanced Training Practice (ATP) and takes student nurses in their 1st, 2nd or 3rd year. Student Nurses may be on placed from 1 day to 3 months and are always supervised by a qualified nurse mentor. Students in their final year may undertake their own clinics under indirect supervision. Patients who do not wish to see a student care should inform reception staff.

Vicky joined the practice in 2015 on the Health Care Assistant Apprenticeship Programme. She started her Nursing Associate Training in 2020 at Bradford University. She has an NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care. She has also completed her training in injections and immunisation to administer B12, Flu, Pneumonia and Shingles. Vicky has a number of HCA lead roles within the team. Vicky is currently training to become a Nurse Associate

Laura joined the practice and initially worked in admin coding, secretarial and took on the role of Assistant Practice Manager after starting a Business Administration Level 3 NVQ. She is responsible operationally for the clinics, staff HR and Assisting the Managing Partner with the day to day running of the practice. - Qualified Vaccinator Jan 2022

Janet initially joined the practice as a receptionist before training as a Data Processor. Janet is responsible for ensuring all patient correspondence is uploaded and attached to patient records.

Georgia first started at the practice as work experience in 2018 before joining the practice as a junior office clerk supporting the reception, admin and management with general office duties. She is currently training and working with the Medical Admin team. She is currently a business apprentice which she started in July 2021.

Care Navigators

Joanne Scott

Care Navigator Coordinator

Joanne joined the practice as a receptionist before taking on the reception coordinator role. She has a Diploma in General Practice Administration and is responsible for the day to day running of the reception team. Joanne coordinators works closely with the duty doctor each day to manage patient enquiries. Joanne also supervises and trains new members of the receptionist.

Julie joined the practice as a receptionist and she is now one of our Senior Receptionists. She supports the training of new receptionists.

Debbie is one of the Senior Receptionists and supports our Junior Office Clerks. She previously completed the Diploma in General Practice Administration and is the practice lead for patient records.

Holly Hemingway

Holly initially joined the practice after a period of work experience in 2018. She has since trained as a junior office clerk and more recently reception duties. Holly has been involved in arranging Covid vaccine clinic appointments and supports them as both an administrator and marshal. She works part time whilst studying.

Sue Alldred

Senior Clinical Pharmacist

Advanced Practice Practitioner Sue piloted the role of a practice pharmacist in 2015 whilst she was still working in the Medicines Management Team at the Leeds Clinical Commissioning Group. In 2016, she moved to work as a Senior Practice Pharmacists and also works as Head of Clinical Pharmacy at Leeds South and East GP Federation. In 2019, she completed a certificate in Advanced Clinical Practice. Sue is also a General Practice Pharmacy ambassador for Health Education England and Regional vice president (North East) PCPA

Hannah joined the practice in 2016 on the Clinical Pharmacist Programme. She is now one of the practice Senior Clinical Pharmacists and Mental Health Lead. Hannah, is currently completing a PG Credit in Mental Health and is responsible for managing the prescription clerk team.
