DR THOMAS FOX

Senior GP Partner and GPSI in Minor Surgery

MBChB (1982) MRCGP DCH University of Leeds Dr Fox joined the practice in 1987 and is a GP with Specialist Interest in Minor Surgery and Contraception. He became a GP Trainer in 1991 and supervised his final GP Trainee in July 2021 after supporting over 60 trainees on placement

DR GREGOR DONALDSON

GP Partner and GPSI ENT and Minor Surgery

MBChB (1996) PG Dip ENT University of Dundee Dr Donaldson joined the practice as a partner in 2004 and is a GPSI in ENT and Minor Surgery. Dr Donaldson is the GP lead for prescribing, Practice Strategy, Practice Development and Finance. Dr Donaldson is a board member for Cross Gates Primary Care Network

DR RACHAEL KAY

GP Partner and GPSI for Dermatology

MBChB MRCGP DRCOG DFSRH ABHRS Post Grad Derm Dr Kay qualified as a doctor in 2003 at the University of Manchester (2003) before joining the practice as a GP Partner. Dr Kay specialises in Dermatology holds a certificate in Implant and Coil fitting. Dr Kay is a Hair Restoration Surgeon after specialising in Dermatology and working in the field of hair transplant surgery alongside her GP work.

DR THOMAS BACKHOUSE

GP Partner and GP Trainer

MB BS (2009) PGCME MRCGP Dip Diabetes University of Hull Dr Backhouse joined the practice in 2014 and became a Partner in 2016 and GP Trainer in 2019. Dr Backhouse leads on GP Training, Medical Student Placements and specialises in Diabetes.

DR ANGELA SANDHU

GP Partner and GP Trainer

MBBS MRCGP MSc MPharm MRPharmS University of East Anglia (2010). Dr Sandhu joined the practice in 2015 as a Salaried GP before becoming a GP Partner in 2019. In 2020, she became a GP trainer

DR ELEANOR COATES

GP Partner and GPSI for Contraception

BMBCh DRCOG MA (Hons) DCH DFSRH (2007) University of Oxford and holds a Certificate in Coil and Implant fitting. Dr Coates joined the practice in 2014 as a salaried GP and became a GP Partner in 2021. She specialised in children's palliative care whilst working at Martin House and in Family Planning and Contraception. She is the Lead GP for our contraceptive clinics and works in our weekend Extended Access clinics

ANDREA MANN

Managing Partner and Clinical Director

BSc (Hons) RGN (2000), Dip HE (Adult), GPN, NMP, Dip Practice Nursing, Dip Diabetes, Dip Asthma, Dip COPD, Cert Transformational Leadership, Practice Assessor. Andrea joined the Practice in 2002 and became after partner in 2015. She has overall responsibility for managing the practice and still works clinically. Andrea is the Clinical Director of Cross Gates Primary Care Network in 2015 and Director of Cross Gates Primary Care Ltd

LAURA CULLIMORE

Business and Operations Manager

NVQ L3 and L4 in Business Administration Laura joined the practice in 2010 and initially worked in admin coding, secretarial before completing her NVQ's in Business Administration. Laura completed a leadership and management course in 2022 and is and is now the Business and Operations Manager. Laura also qualified as a Non Registered Vaccinator in 2022 to support the PCN vaccine Clinics

DR SARAH YOUNGE

Senior Associate GP and GP Trainer

MBChB (2012) MRCGP (2017) University of Leeds Dr Younge joined the practice as a Salaried GP in 2017 and is now a Senior Associate GP. In 2021 she become a GP Trainer.

DR BEN HAMMERSLEY

Senior Associate GP and GP Trainer

GP MBChB RCGP DCH Dr Hammersley joined the practice in 2019 as a Senior Associate GP and became a Senior Associate GP and GP Trainer in 2020 He is the practice End of Life Lead GP and Clinical Veteran Lead for the Practice. In 2024, Dr Hammersley was the GP lead on the PCN General Practice Improvement Programme (GPIP) Outside the practice, Dr Hammersley is a Cancer Care Lead for the city and holds the position of Deputy Medical Lead for the GP Confederation.

Associate GP and GP Trainer

MBChB (2015) University of Leeds and GP Trainer Dr Riley joined the practice in August 2020, she was previously a GP Registrar at the practice. She is a GP Trainer and Associate GP

MPharm Mariah is a Pre Reg Pharmacist Trainee who started her placement with us in Sept 24 and will work under the direct supervision of a practice pharmacist.

Nursing Team

KATE MOORE

Nurse Manager

RGN, NMC, GPN, Dip Diabetes, Dip Asthma, Dip COPD, Practice Assessor Kate qualified in 1993 and joined the practice in 2014 with over 10 years experience in General Practice Nursing. Kate completed her Non Medical Prescribing in 2017 and is the Nurse Manager. Kate is responsible for Student Nurses as a Practice Assessor. Kate leads on Qof, End of Life Care MDTs and long term conditions with a specialist interest in Diabetes. Kate is also a member of the Cross Gates PCN Board since 2023

Practice Nurse

BSc (Hons), RGN, Cert Asthma, Cert CHD Greeshma qualified as a registered nurse in 2016 and joined our Nursing Team as a Practice Nurse in 2022. Greeshma is also a practice supervisor for student nurses. Greeshma is a trained vaccinator and works in the PCN vaccine clinics.

Practice Nurse

Danielle joined the practice in October 2024 as a Practice Nurse and is currently on the General Practice Nurse Development Programme. Danielle has experience from secondary care having worked as a specialist breast nurse. Danielle is a trained vaccinator and works in the PCN vaccine clinics

BSc (Hons) Adult Nursing, RGN. Lauren qualified in 2022 and joined the practice in Oct 23 as a Practice Nurse. Lauren is currently on the General Practice Development Programme. Lauren is a trained vaccinator and works in the PCN vaccine clinics

VICTORIA BOTTOMLEY

Nurse Associate

FdSc (2023), NVQ 3. Vicky joined the practice in 2016 on the Health Care Assistant Apprenticeship Programme. She started her Nursing Associate Training in 2020 at Bradford University and Qualified as a Nurse Associate in 2022. Vicky will be starting her Nurse training in 2025 Vicky is a practice lead for Learning Disabilities and Mental Health working closely with the GP and Pharmacist clinical Leads. Vicky is a Trained Vaccinator and works in the PCN Vaccine Clinics

SUE ALLDRED

Advanced Pharmacist Practitioner

MAPCPharm, MRPharms, BPharm(Hons), PG Dip Clin Pharm, Independent Prescriber Sue joined the practice in 2015 as a Senior Clinical Pharmacist. She became and Advanced Practice Pharmacist after completing her Post Graduate Certificate in Clinical Assessment with Distinction in 2020. Sue also works as Head of Clinical Pharmacy at South East Leeds Federation and PCPA Regional Vice President for North East. Sue is qualified as a Pharmacist Designated Supervisor, Clinical Supervisor and Designated Prescribing Practitioner Sue leads on Heart Failure and coordinates the pre reg pharmacist placements at the practice.

HANNAH BLACK

Senior Clinical Pharmacist

MPharm (Hons), Independent Prescriber, PGCert Psychiatric Therapeutics, PGCredit Mental Health Hannah joined the practice in 2016 on the Clinical Pharmacist Programme. She is a Senior Clinical Pharmacist and Leads on Mental Health and Pain Management.

LYNNE HARGREAVES

Senior Prescription Clerk

Lynne joined the practice in 2012 and worked as a receptionist before taking on the role of Senior Prescription Clerk. Lynn works closely with the practice pharmacists to manage the daily prescriptions and medication queries. Lynn supports the practice prescription clerks and supports training new staff.

KAREN CULLIMORE

IT Clinical Manager

Karen has been with the practice for 30 years and worked as a practice secretary before becoming a clinical system manager. Karen leads on secretarial administration and recalls.

GEORGIA MANN

Business and Medical Administrator

Georgia first started at the practice doing work experience in 2018 before joining the practice as a junior office clerk in 2019. She completed an Business apprenticeship in 2022 and now works as a Business and Medical Administrator. Georgia coordinators the Minor Surgery Service with Dr Fox & Dr Donaldson

EMILY DICKINSON

Senior Medical Administrator

Emily joined our practice as an Business Administration Apprentice in 2016 and worked as a Prescription Clerk. She started work as a Senior Medical Administrator in 2022 and leads on medical coding and summarising for the practice.

JANET LINELY

Data Processor

Janet initially joined the practice in 2013 as a receptionist before training as a Data Processor. Janet is responsible for ensuring all patient correspondence is uploaded and attached to patient records.

AMY TOBIN

Business Support Officer

Amy joined the practice in June 2024 and supports the Management and Medical Administration Team with office administration.

HOLLY HEMMINGWAY

Administrator

Holly first joined the practice in 2018 on work experience before working as a Junior Office Clerk in 2019. Holly is currently at university and works for the practice as an administrator outside term time.

RORY DONALDSON

Junior Office Clerk

Rory joined the practice in 2024 after leaving school to gain some experience working in Primary Care and office administration. Rory will be working at the practice outside term time whilst at College.

Care Navigators

JOANNE SCOTT

Reception Coordinator

Joanne joined the practice in 2002 as a receptionist before taking on the reception coordinator role. She has a Diploma in General Practice Administration and is responsible for the day to day running of the reception team. Joanne coordinators the Reception and Care Navigators working closely with the duty doctor each day to manage patient enquiries. Joanne also supervises and trains new members of the reception team

JULIE RAWLINS

Senior Care Navigator and Prescription Clerk

Julie joined the practice as a receptionist in 2012 and is a Senior Care Navigator and Prescription Clerk. Julie supports the reception coordinator to run the reception and supports training new staff.

DEBRA ELLIS

Senior Care Navigator and Prescription Clerk

Debbie joined the reception team in 2007 and is a Senior Care Navigator and Prescription Clerk. She previously completed the Diploma in General Practice Administration and is the practice lead for patient records. Debbie supports the Reception Coordinator and training of new staff. Debbie has been part of the PCN General Practice Improvement Programme representing the reception team.
